Manager

This position is responsible for leading the Combustion, CFD and Hypersonic groups within the Design and Analysis Organization. These groups focus on the Liquid and Hypersonic Rocket Performance, Liquid Rocket Combustion Stability, and Computational Fluid Dynamic Analysis of liquid, solid, and air-breathing propulsion systems. Programs supported include both military and commercial applications. This is a fast paced environment that requires knowledge of ongoing work in the field.

Provide technical leadership for the Combustion, CFD and Hypersonic groups which are critical to Aerojet Programs. Advises subordinates in the resolution of technical and operational problems based on specific goals, Aerojet policy and meeting established schedules. 

Develop and implement processes as appropriate for the Combustion, CFD and Hypersonics groups for continued development, education and training. Participate in Technical Meetings (Internal and External) as required to maintain knowledge in this field. Work across the company to ensure consistent application of best practices in performing job responsibilities.

Manage direct reports working on a variety of project activities. Support goals of integrated product teams by balancing work-loads and priorities of direct reports and addressing administrative issues pertaining to the accomplishment of tasks. Manage training budgets, conduct performance appraisals, and support discretionary tasks as required.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least nine (9) years of direct experience in the design and development of Liquid Rocket Engines. Advanced degree preferred but not required. Requires demonstrated supervisory/management skills managing a team of engineers with multiple assignments and priorities. Knowledge of DoD Security Regulation is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (U.S. citizenship required).
