ESAC, Inc., a global provider of data management, informatics research and healthcare IT solutions to government, academic and research institutions is looking for Managing Consultants who will direct and manage the planning, design and implementation of projects and teams. Most of these projects support initiatives at the Department of Health and Human Services in the areas of Health Economics, Clinical Quality Measures and Comparative Effectiveness Research. Will serve as the primary client contact for methodological and technical expertise and translates project objectives into specific deliverables in a timely and cost-efficient manner. Ensures that all research projects are conducted with sound methods and approaches. The Managing Consultant must have senior level experience in one of the areas mentioned above and a PhD in a related field (Epidemiology, Public Policy, Health Economics, Statistics, etc.).
This is a senior level, client-facing role which requires the ability to work directly with clients to assess needs and take active role to formulate projects to meet needs. Ideal candidate can be based out of anywhere in the United States must be able to travel to DC to meet with client when needed and be able to successfully function in virtual teams.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Serve as the project lead for one or more ESAC led projects.
- Manage and lead a team of 3-4 analysts, science writers, research associates.
- Serve as the prime contact for all client communications
- Work with clients to support their technical project needs.
- Support ESAC’s growth by working closely with proposal teams.
- Develop collateral for clients including memos, plans, case histories, fact sheets, talking points, and brochures
Qualifications:
- PhD in Epidemiology, Health Economics, Health Policy, Health Law, Statistics, or a related field
- Experience in leading government funded studies in a related field
- Excellent written and oral communication (writing samples may be requested)
- Demonstrated professional achievements in consulting or policy research.
- Expertise in Federal health policy and knowledge of the programs and missions of federal agencies required. Experience working with CMS, ONC and AHRQ particularly valuable.
- Candidate must serve as a role model and mentor to staff, guide their professional development, and retaining staff.
