Role Summary and Purpose:
Reporting to the Regional Leader for Capital Markets Corporate in Asia Pacific and as a senior executive in GE's Global Growth Operations organisation, this role will partner with GE's industrial businesses in ANZ, supporting their sales and commerical activites by developing and executing creative financing and funding solutions.
The MD, Capital Market Corporate will develop and build strong relationships with global financial institutions, regional and local banks in order to access a range of financial solutions and options to support GE's sales and commercial transactions.
Role Accountabilities Responsibilities:
- Partnering with GE's Regional Sales Finance teams to pro-actively anticipate a need for customer / project financing
- Align with GE businesses and meet their objectives to support projects with third party banks, GE’s own funding sources and/or financial advisory support
- Broaden relationships with banks/institutions under leasing, corporate, trade and project finance schemes and continuously evaluate existing solutions, seeking the most competitive/efficient financing structure
- Analyse credit and market risks, lead the preparation of external documentation (information memoranda) and internal documentation (pricing models, credit requests and board papers)
- Originate customer and project financing opportunities and initiate structuring of financing solutions. Coordinate deal underwriting efforts by leveraging expertise from broader CMC regional and HQ teams
- Leverage expertise from local and international tax, accounting, legal, operations and other functional teams to optimise deal structures.
- Advise on and structure transactions where GE is taking direct risk, either on a Corporate or Project Finance basis; Minimise GE risk exposure and track GE off-balance sheet risk exposure
Applicant Credentials:
To be considered for this position, you will be an accomplished executive most likely working in an investment bank, advisory or leading transaction services business. You will have very broad and deep transaction experience having originated and led a large quantity of corporate and project finance deals requiring a variety of onshore and cross border funding.
Your knowledge of the Australian finance landscape is very deep as is your understanding of Australia's infrastructure needs, regulation and key industry projects impacting GE's infrastructure businesses in Energy, Oil Gas, Transportation, Healthcare and Mining.
You will be able to demonstrate your ability to structure and execute complex deals, reviewing multiple strategies and presenting fact based analysis to support recommendations to senior management.
You will be a collaborative team player but have the willingness and ability to work autonomously when required. This will be aided by your outstanding communication and relationship management skills and your ability to function effectively in a highly complex matrix environment.
