Managing Director, Product Management recruitment
BondDesk Group is looking for a Managing Director, Product Management with demonstrated knowledge of retail fixed income market transparency and compliance and proven experience in product management and business analysis. This is an ideal role for someone with very strong strategic thinking skills, ideally with implementing creative “out of the box” solutions to the challenges of the current and proposed regulation of the retail fixed income marketplace. The Managing Director, Product Management will engage with clients, regulators, and all levels in the organization in order to analyze and develop strong business cases to help senior management make decisions about our market transparency and compliance product direction. In addition, the role requires presentations of and about our market transparency and compliance solutions at industry events and to regulators. This position reports to the Head of Product Management Senior Managing Director.
The ideal candidate must be organized, professional, very proactive, market-focused, flexible and able to act under pressure. The most important attributes are being analytical, detail-oriented, having creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to pick up new domain/industry knowledge quickly. As this position requires a great deal of direct client and regulator contact, the candidate must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communications (written and verbal), and presentation skills. Primary duties include, but not limited to the following:
- Internal and external subject matter expert for BondDesk’s market transparency and compliance solutions.
- Write business plans and design specifications: determine necessary features and design functionality, which includes gathering specific business requirements, product functions, and planning the steps required to develop or modify product solutions.
- Meet with clients to gather and understand product feedback.
- Attend industry conferences to acquire new market and compliance knowledge.
- Position BondDesk products in relationship to the competition and developing market needs.
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders to understand commitments and establish trust and dialogue on how to support those commitments.
- Work with and lead internal teams (i.e, Application Development, Relationship Management, Client Integration, QA) to determine feasibility of product requirements and design solutions and help ensure functionality is deployed, tested and documented.
- Evaluate and communicate potential new / incremental business opportunities.
ADDITIONAL KEY SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7 + years experience in same profession (in Fixed Income industry)
- In depth understanding of evolving regulations which impact retail fixed income including Dodd Frank.
- Series 7 and other required regulatory licenses
- Proven knowledge of retail fixed income, alternative trading system, and regulatory/compliance
- Highly organized individual with excellent decision making, analytical, problem solving skills
- Work well in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities
- Strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
- Requires someone who is self-driven and has a “can do” attitude.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related field
