Managing Director – Product Specialist recruitment
In this role, you will provide clients, prospects and consultants with ongoing updates about our Fixed Income asset class investment philosophy, process, performance of products and act as primary contact for questions. Effectively, this role is a PM surrogate and a critical link between clients (actual and prospective), Sales and Marketing and the portfolio management team.
In addition, responsibilities include:
- As a member of the Fixed Income team, participate in investment strategy meetings and help formulate and execute product development and product management strategy for asset class, including review and address questions on fees and fee schedules/pricing.
- Playing a key role in new business efforts including finals presentations and consultant meetings.
- Providing updates to Fixed Income leadership on investment marketing activities, how portfolio management research, investment risk management functions and investment philosophy are presented to clients and consultants.
- Collaborating with Fixed Income leadership to establish and implement the investment management business plans and strategies.
- Conduct regular calls and answer questions with Sales, Relationship Management and Consultant Relations teams regarding product changes, updates and so forth.
- Perform product and strategy research and analysis.
Successful candidates will have:
- 7-10 years investment experience.
- MBA with finance emphasis and Certified Financial Analyst designation preferred
- Previous role as a Fixed Income portfolio manager and/or Product Specialist/CPM is preferred
- Knowledge of asset allocation and sophisticated investment vehicles, comprehensive understanding of investment strategy and philosophy, business acumen, analytical, sound judgment, and total rate of return mentality required and ability to progress and develop existing asset class knowledge.
- Must be a broad strategic thinker and demonstrate superior understanding of economies and investment theories.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to build strong relationships required.
- Frequent travel required
