Manufacturing Administrative Specialist Job in Edmonton, Alberta Canada
While adhering to standard safety and quality operational policies and procedures, the primary functions of the Manufacturing Administrative Specialist are:
- Open and Close Work Orders, as required
- Update labour hours, as required.
- Maintain Filing of work orders and other miscellaneous paperwork.
- Act as a Support function for Production Planners.
Additional Functions:
- 100% participation in identified workplace Personal Protective Equipment requirements
- Actively participates in company safety procedures and programs: corrects unsafe work practices or situations; follows reporting protocols for violations; participates in the Hazard Identification process
- Fully participates in continuous process improvement and cost control, following manufacturing/quality/safety/HR policies and procedures and standards to maintain within company guidelines
- Perform other duties as required, including clean-up duties and the accurate and timely completion of paperwork
Manufacturing Administrative specialist position is appointed to the Assembly Shop. The incumbent would be responsible but not limited to
1) Creating Service work orders actual and standard cost for repair jobs and shop labor.
2) Creating and entering sales orders.
3) Creating ST's for the transfer of parts. This includes taking over administrative duties from the lead hands and supervisors so as to allow them to focus on managing their team on the floor, organizing a better shop layout, dealing with matters of housekeeping, and most importantly to ease the delays in paperwork so as to have inventory be more accurate and register in “real time”.
Work Conditions : Machine shop environment .Noisy and dirty surrounding.
Hours: Mon-fri (9-5)
