HOERBIGER Corporation of America Inc., is the manufacturing center for the Americas Region with plants located in Pompano Beach, FL and Houston TX supplying all products to our OEM customers in the North and South American Cotenant.
Due to our growth, we currently have an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer – CNC Machining at our Pompano Beach, FL manufacturing facility.
The Manufacturing Engineering position at HOERBIGER is responsible for analyzing, organizing and defining of production methods and processes required to manufacture new and special components within CNC manufacturing of steel and polymer parts. This is accomplished through the following activities.
- Lead and manage project teams focused on process improvement initiatives.
- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, processes and tooling strategies associated with cnc machining operations.
- Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Lead capital project initiatives from inception through to timely launches. Work scope to include Preparing, justifying, planning and implementation.
- Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
- Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
- Act as an interface between the Applications and Design Engineering groups and production operations for the development and launch of new products to manufacturing.
- Bring forward new tooling and process ideas and concepts for enhanced product productivity and quality, convey scope and timing for the implementation of the new ideas.
- Establish timing, pre-requisites and execution strategies for trial production runs of new tooling, process and products. Lead cost savings and continuous improvement activities.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering from an accredited university and two to four years related experience in a CNC machining Manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior experience with CNC turning, milling and grinding of a variety specialty steels and hardness’s is required. Additional experience in machining of polymers is a plus.
