Summary:
Reporting to the Supervisor, Technical Manager, as the Manufacturing Methods Engineering Specialist (M.E.), you will be responsible for providing component part manufacturing and processing support consistent with cell, facility, and division goals objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Generate manufacturing lineups, shop travelers, machine requirements, and tool requirements/application
* Prepare, maintain and revise tool sheets, op sketches, and W.O. cards and rework schemes
* Maintain continuous process improvement to reduce cost, improve quality, increase throughput
* Candidates maybe required to work off-shifts and weekends as needed to support the business
* Provide shop floor support
* Resolve quality issues (non-conformances) by defining and eliminating 'root' cause
* Assist with design of durable tooling, perishable tooling, and work gages
* Perform required duties to meet customer and ISO standards
* Promote a safe working environment
* Perform other duties assigned

* Completion of university degree/college diploma in a related technical discipline; Engineering Degree (Mechanical or Aerospace preferred) or 5 years' experience across various manufacturing processes
* Demonstrated experience in metal cutting and machining; at least 3 year's experience in machine shop methods planning is required
* Demonstrated experience in assembly of landing gear components would be considered an asset; familiarization with gear integration/assembly procedures/practices would be considered an asset but not essential
* Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret Engineering Drawings, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations is required
* Strong ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public is an asset
* Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CAD software, particularly CATIA v5 would be strongly preferred
* Six Sigma and/or Lean Practitioner training would also be considered an asset
* Must be able to undertake occasional visits to Vendors or other GR Divisions to assist in method development, improvements, and problem solving
* Successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR
