Our comprehensive product line includes entrances, framing systems, windows and curtain wall systems. From thermal efficiency and sustainability to hurricane and blast resistance, Kawneer products are designed to optimize both aesthetics and performance. The primary responsibility of this position will be responsible for specifying/implementing fabrication equipment and improving fabrication performance at the Bloomsburg facility and KNA Service Centers implementing standardized Flexible Manufacturing CNC equipment/process the position will provides technical support to Bloomsburg fabrication department and KNA service centers The incumbent will: * Develops and implements optimal, cost-effective fabrication processes and methods in accordance with product specifications, quality, and health/safety standards. Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls. * Designs, develops and tests and/or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods. * Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment. * Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of buildings and equipment. * Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results. * Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency. * Devises and implement preventative, total productive and predictive maintenance plans to drive equipment reliability to best in class. * Develops solutions to repetitive failures and other maintenance problems and Provides troubleshooting support for electrical and mechanical systems * Provides remote technical support for other KNA locations primarily Service Centers implementing automation/CNC technology. Basic Qualifications * B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering plus 5 years of work experience in a manufacturing or related field with working knowledge of CNC and PLC technologies used in fabrication processes. * Ability to analyze difficult and complex engineering systems and render clear interpretation and direction * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Access, Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Word) * Proficient with AutoCAD and or Autodesk Inventor * Ability to read electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic schematics * Excellent organizational and project management skills. * Exceptional oral and written communication skills. * Ability to take the initiative, provide leadership, meet deadlines and work in a team environment Preferred Qualifications * Aluminum fabrication and welding experience. * Experience in requesting and justifying capital funding * Experience in reliability excellence and use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems. * Experience with Allen Bradley and Beckhoff PLCs * Visual Basic programming experience * Robotics and KUKA robotics programming experience * Door and Window fabrication experience.
