Job Description The Essential Job Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer include: Work with production teams in root cause analysis and problem solving. Work with workforce on reducing overall manufacturing costs with focus in areas of tooling and scrap. Perform root cause and corrective action for manufacturing issues by utilizing problem solving tools such as 8D analysis, A3 and PFMEA?s. Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and utilize Six Sigma methodologies to develop and maintain robust manufacturing processes in order to increase productivity, reduce variation, and eliminate waste. Develop processes, plans, fixtures, and tooling in support of Continuous Improvement Processes. Utilize value stream mapping, total preventive maintenance, 5S, error-proofing, continuous flow, pull systems, and set-up reduction to drive continuous improvement. Develop and maintain manufacturing instructions and process sheets. Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods. Recommends changes to existing manufacturing processes to improve manufacturing productivity and improve lean flow of materials Ability to work on a cross-functional team to execute projects and ensure internal and external customer satisfaction. Serve as a technical focal point to operators, team leaders, and other engineers. Design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton?s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement through participation and teamwork Perform all other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in an manufacturing engineering role Previous CNC Programming experience Professional Manufacturing Engineering Certifications (Certified manufacturing Engineer, Six-Sigma, Certified Quality Engineer, LEAN Certification, etc.) Masters degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited school Management experience including supervising professional staff.
