About our Client

Our client is looking for a strong mechanical engineer who has worked in a precision machining environment. They will also have experience working in assembly manufacturing processes and producing medium or large industrial metal components.

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Engineer following continued growth. Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager based in Melbourne. You will be responsible for meeting the quality, cost and growth requirements of the Business Unit and strive to continuously improve the manufacturing processes.

The Successful Applicant

You must have experience in:

• Review current methods of manufacture and provide advice and plans on proposed methods of improvement, via implementation of lean techniques.
• Process FMEA / Control Plans
• Process Planning
• Generating and Maintaining Standard Operating Procedures
• Capital Equipment Specification and Procurement
• New Model Introduction Process
• Identifying and Implementing Process Improvements
• Support of Daily Operations
