Manufacturing Engineer

Specific Job Description Candidate will be responsible for supporting manufacturing assembly and fabrication for GTL product lines. Candidate will support the production build team with technical support to interpret engineering designs and specifications, address tooling and work instruction issues, generate routers and detailed work instructions, optimize work flow and cell designs, and investigate root cause of failures/defects and implement corrective action developing re-work instructions when needed. A successful candidate will work with engineering to suggest producibility and manufacturability concepts along with design improvements and PPR?s (Program Problem Report) to incorporate needed engineering changes. The candidate will participate in continuous improvement teams applying lean manufacturing techniques to reduce cost and increase yields. Candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills and be highly motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Candidate must be a problem solver with strong analytical and problem solving skills. Standard Job Description Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling. Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout. Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance. Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan. Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques. Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
