Manufacturing Engineer Job in Pottsville, Pennsylvania US
Job Responsibilities:
· Hands-on support of manufacturing process improvements, working directly with the operations team on the manufacturing floor.
· Drive area raw material yields and capacity by executing improvement processes on the floor.
· Improve the baseline value of key area metrics (yield, quality, capacity, attainment) toward entitlement values through individual and team contributions.
· Monitor raw material usage in area using SAP.
· Develop long-term solutions to eliminate reoccurring area process problems.
· Develop process packages to support capital projects.
· Accountable/responsible for area PHA's Management of Change.
· Accountable for supporting initiatives and improvement teams throughout the site.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, etc Engineering.
· Minimum 2 years experience in a manufacturing process setting.
· Experience with Plastics, Films, Sheet or other extrusion processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Six Sigma or Lean certification preferred.
- SAP experience would be a plus.
- Raw material inventory management experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization.
- Demonstrated ability to use influencing skills to accomplish goals and objectives.
- Able to manage multiple priorities.
