Key Responsibilities Conceive, design, develop and implement a new production line to produce complex electromechanical devices. Manage new process development projects and coordinate activities with various internal and external suppliers. Develop manufacturing process designs and coordinate with tooling and equipment sources for construction and validation. Utilize GDT to review assembly, component designs and details to verify manufactuing feasibility. Lead manufacturing activities for new product launch team. Capacity planning and strategy development for processes. Create/participate in development of design and process FMEA's. Work with tool sources to verify tool and/or assembly construction. Assist with capital and tooling acquisitions, analysis and strategies. Assist quality department in design and applications of gages and fixtures. Interface with suppliers and reseach development centers to research and develop new product and process design and technology concepts. Support product teams with quotes, designs VA/VE initiatives and technical presentations. Provide technical support and assistance to the manufacturing, quality, development and program staff as required. Prepare and present technical reports in-house and to the technical community. Attend training sessions, seminars and conferences to expand job knowledge and skills repertoire. Support and adhere to corporate policies and procedures. Supprt TS16949, NPIS, APQP and other applicable procedures and policies. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a four-year college or university with minimum of five years of manufacturing engineering work experience. Process/application knowledge of processes currently utilized in Manufacturing is required, (i.e. electronics assembly, precision mechanical assembly). Working knowledge and application of Tenneco tools (BOS, 8D, Lean, Six Sigma, EVA, TVM). Ability to lead and function in a team environment while effectively communicating across various levels of the organization. Self-motivated with good written and verbal communicatioin skills; ability to effectively prepare and deliver technical reports and presentations. Ability to travel in support of job functions (to plants, customers, suppliers, etc.). Extensive experience in tool and manufacturing process development with knowledge of CAD or FEA an functional expertise in application of GDT required. Program/project management experience required; leadership role preferred. Certification in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma is preferred.
