Manufacturing Engineer I II
Schiff Nutrition International, a leader in nutritional supplements, is seeking two full time Manufacturing Engineer’s with a focus in automation in their Salt Lake City facility.
§ Good teaming skills to interface with the LEAN Office, RD, Process Engineering, Maintenance and Production Management and Associates
§ Works with suppliers and teams to improve equipment reliability
§ Ability to develop tooling and machine enhancement to equipment to improve overall performance
§ Work as the automation integrator on new automation assembly lines and lead the FAT process for the equipment
§ Act as trainer for Maintenance, Associates and Production Staff on new and existing equipment
§ Develop line balancing, workflow and Standard Work (SOP’s)
§ Create Time Standards
§ Some travel to equipment manufacturers from time to time is required
Qualifications:
The position requires a 4 year engineering degree and 3-5 years of directly related experiences in automation or electro-mechanical equipment. CAD or Solid Modeling is required. Programming experience with PLC’s and systems interfacing experience is a plus. Attention to detail is required, as well as the ability to work in a team environment. Lean manufacturing experience is a plus.
