Manufacturing Engineer Job in Shropshire, Midlands Uk

You will provide technical support for a variety of complex remanufacturing processes, including new salvage opportunities, continuous improvement and NPI.

The Role:

Troubleshoot day to day process problems, develop, implement and evaluate effectiveness of changes.

Support NPI by identifying manufacturing needs, this to include:

Developing new manufacturing processes aligned to CPS, identifying Takt time, cycle times and manning.

Designing equipment tooling, identifying vendors and negotiating pricing, raising capital folders and placing orders.

Co-ordinating the implementation ad validation of new processes.

Develop and issue all support documentation, PFMEA's, SFMEA's, Process Flow, Control Plans and Standard Work.

Liaising with customers to ensure quality product is delivered on time.

Working to tight deadlines.

Working close to other business units to ensure programme targets are achieved.

Support Salvage initiatives which identifies part reusability by:

Reviewing and identifying new salvage methods

Analysing remanufacturing process costs v new part cost.

Implementing new salvage processes.

Design, create drawings and release new tooling into production environment.

Requirements:

Technical or university degree in an appropriate manufacturing or engineering related field.

Thorough knowledge of the planning system, manufacturing operations, facilities, methods and tooling required.

Analytical ability as well as communication skills are essential.
