Description: - Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor - CABLE (1124571) Job Description Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor - CABLE ( Job Number: 1124571) Role Synopsis This person is a member of a team that supports the design, manufacture and testing of Progressing Cavity Pumps and electrical cable systems used to power Electric Submersible Pumps used in oil field applications. Data analysis will be used to drive process adjustments to improve quality and reduce costs. This person must become familiar with the specifications that regulate the products, and should be familiar with Lean Manufacturing, 5S and SPC. Occasional international travel may be required. The successful candidate will lead a team of approximately 8 engineers. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities Supervises, coordinates, and provides direction to Cable Manufacturing and PCP Engineering team. Establishes objectives and reviews performance activities on projects direct. Works closely with other disciplines to ensure all project objectives are met. Estimates personnel requirements. Schedules and assigns work to meet completion dates. Plans day-to-day operation, authorizes overtime and controls costs. Plans and conducts research and development of standard engineering assignments. Assignments can be a significant portion of a larger project. Develops and implements new production methods. Recommends and implements improvements in the production process. Selects engineering techniques to solve problems and makes sound recommendations. Assesses results for applicability, validity and conformance to specifications. May be the lead engineer on smaller project with some functional supervision. Usually works with minimum supervision, conferring with superior on unusual matters. May be assisted by entry or junior level personnel. Assists in project planning and review. Assignments are broad in nature, requiring originality and ingenuity. Assignments are reviewed for overall soundness and adherence to stated objectives. Handles special projects, as assigned. Must follow all safety guidelines. Performs other duties as directed. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years experience or Master's Degree in Engineering. Good communication skills, safety oriented and a team player. Intermediate analytical skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Good problem-solving skills. Basic project management skills. Sound working knowledge of principles, concepts, theories, and/or practices of applicable discipline. Desired/Preferred Qualifications Candidate with leadership skills. Prior experience supervising a team Other Details This position will be working Monday - Friday. Candidate must be able to work and live in the US without sponsorship. Relocation is available for this position. US and International travel is required.
