Responsibilities:
Manufacturing Engineering is responsible for developing manufacturing processes, production floor layouts and associated fixtures and tools utilizing Lean principles and techniques, in accordance with product specifications and expectations, to meet or exceed Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost objectives. Reviews new designs for manufacturability with Design Engineering. Designs process improvements to reduce product cost, process cycle time and improved product quality. Works closely with Quality Assurance to establish process controls necessary to achieve or maintain Quality targets.
What is expected of you for success in your role
- Demonstrate working knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering principles and technologies
- Develop new and troubleshoot standard manufacturing processes and equipment
- Develop and maintain required Manufacturing Documentation
- Analyze standard product designs for Manufacture, Assembly and Serviceability
- Design, execute and document standard FMEA, process validation and testing
- Complete projects in a manner consistent with corporate objectives.
- Provide manufacturing engineering support in the resolution of product returns and/or safety issues.
- Work with other engineering, manufacturing, materials, sales and marketing, and quality assurance staff to coordinate pilot production of new products.
- Support company goals and objectives, policies and procedures
Requirement:
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- A minimum of 3+ years related work experience required
- Knowledge of ERP System (SAP preferred) and MS Applications
- Knowledge of CAD software
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Principles preferred
