Job Description:
As an MES systems engineer or Controls Engineer with the DataRealm team you will be responsible for:
- Supporting manufacturing MES systems such as production monitoring, traceability, marquees…
- Supporting controls engineering/PLC activities
- Project and technical documentation
- An understanding of manufacturing automation and some PLC logic
- Working on and off-site in offices and manufacturing facilities with little to no supervision
- Liaison and project communication with customers
- Some travel will be required
Skills:
- Good understanding of SCADA systems and using OPC
- Familiar with industrial networks and dealing with servers and data collectors
- Knowledge of MES systems such as Rockwell, IGEAR, Inductive, Activplant a definite asset
- Knowledge of MS SQL database and SQL language
- SQL query language a must and .NET skills a definite asset.
- Ability to work well with other team members and with customers
- Excellent communication skills; fluent in speaking and writing English
Qualifications:
- Engineering Degree or Computer Science Degree or equivalent college credentials or experience
- 5 years experience preferred
