Manufacturing Management Accountant
Our client, a well known manufacturing organisation in Carmarthen are looking to recruit a Manufacturing Cost/Management Accountant, this role will report directly to the Financial Controller and will provide the site with timely costing and monthly management statistics.
It is essential you have a manufacturing background.
Job Responsibilities
· Investigate operational issues on yields, labour and stocks
· Preparation of the weekly accounts
· To assist with the implementation of any new systems or projects
Main Duties
· Assist in the preparation of weekly accounts and provide holiday cover.
· Management Reports and Information
· Production, stock and costing information.
· Systems controls and stock reconciliations sometimes attending stocktakes held on a Sunday night
· Yield analysis including attending daily yield meetings with the operations team. Investigating and resolving unknown differences and ensuring procedures are followed at an operational level.
· Maximise use of IT systems and information generated
Key Requirement
The main purpose of this role is
· Flexibility to meet deadlines
· Flexibility in working days and hours, some weekend work will be required
· Excel to Advanced level – pivot tables, vlookup.
· Hard worker, ‘Can do’ attitude
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Ad-hoc work and special projects as assigned
· This role is subject to change as Group Practices, Customer requirements and Legislation dictate
