*** MANUFACTURING MANAGER - BURNLEY - FMCG - to£45,000 ***
KEY DUTIES
- To collaboratively work with the site operations functions at the Nelson site to manage and drive the efficiency and performance of the Carbonates plant.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies at all times, always working in a health and safety manner and aware of any issues that may arise from your own actions.
- Develop, implement and maximise key performance targets within the Carbonates facility.
- Review KPI's to ensure continuous improvement is applied across all areas of customer base
- To ensure strict adherence to all related Health Safety policy and regulations, Compliance of GMP across the business.
- Manage the process to ensure First Time Quality is a priority of all employees, maximising product output through endorsing quality verification
- To supervise and manage agreed budgets and capital expenditure specific to your area of control.
- Strengthen the staff through encouragement, support and reviews of the staff to continuously improve their performance setting clear and challenging goals and objectives, with set timescales.
- To promote the process of "rolled throughput yield" to maximise total plant yield. Ensure process teams are established to minimise current wastage levels.
- Manage process teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a continuous improvement culture across the different functions
- Manage and co-ordinate documentation control within the carbonates function, enabling full compliance to the required standards
- Direct and manage the engineering function to include endorsement of weekly operational meetings
PERSON REQUIREMENTS
- You will be an experienced manufacturing/production/operations manager from a FMCG background.
- Understanding and awareness of carbonated production and the competence to manage effectively, where required.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing techniques and procedures. (Kaizan, Lean Manufacturing)
- People management knowledge, the ability to develop and motivate direct reports ensuring maximum performance output is achieved by managing through people processes and policies.
- Ability to analyse, interpret and understand data
- Knowledge of quality systems and procedures
- Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the efficient and cost-effective operation of a soft drinks manufacturing facility.
- Ability to develop, prepare and implement business plans and resource strategies.
