Servicing requirements for the SME and multinational manufacturing sector in Ireland, our client provides technical solutions to the life science, semi-conductor, oil gas, and food beverage sectors. They are currently on the lookout for a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their highly skilled team.
As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will take the lead and project manage major capital, compliance and strategic projects.
You will co-ordinate all activities between the professional design team, vendors and contractors. Assuming full responsibility for the execution of strategic projects right from project inception through to project handover, you will liaise with engineering, operational, validations, quality control and financial departments to deliver the required objectives.
Your key duties will include:
- Developing concepts and designs for new automated and semi automated manufacturing equipment
- Installing, commissioning and validating manufacturing plant and processes
- Optimising equipment through monitoring and troubleshooting
- Leading technical transfer and process improvement projects
To be considered for this position, you must have process engineering experience, ideally within a pharmaceuticals or medical devices environment, with a focus on mechanical process systems. You must also have a degree in relevant engineering discipline such as mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you must have a strong understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice). Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are also key.
Although not essential, a project management qualification would be an advantage to your application. Experience in equipment and technology design, selection, testing and procurement would be beneficial, as would any 2D or 3D CAD experience.
