position description
MICRO, a world class plastic injection molding and medical component manufacturer is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to join our growing company in our Largo, Florida location.
Duties:
· Enforce manufacturing process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs
· Coordinate manufacturing activities with other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment
· Perform administrative activities associated with the effective management of shop operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports
· Train and ensure all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government and customer policies, procedures, and regulations, including safety regulations
· Complete production plan by establishing priorities, scheduling activities and employees, monitoring progress, revising schedules, and resolving problems
· Motivate and maintain manufacturing staff job results by coaching employees to meet quality and safety requirements
· Ensure that product is manufactured according to customer specifications to meet established costs, quality, and delivery commitments
· Responsible for assisting in environmental health and safety functions of the plant
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree and 5 + years experience in manufacturing, supervising and quality. Demonstrated management skills, computer software and ERP experience required. Must have strong communication skills, be a Team Player, possess the ability to multi-task, and promote Process Improvement. Must have experience with Manufacturing Control Planning, Documentation Skills, and Environmental Health and Safety processes.
