Position Overview:
The NC-CMM Team Lead position serves as the technical focal for activities related to creation and maintenance of numerical control (NC) and coordinate measuring machine (CMM) programs and related process documentation. The NC-CMM Team Lead will serve as the liaison with internal departments (e.g. machine shop, precision inspection, tool design) to ensure our customer needs are being met. This position is responsible for developing plans and monitoring performance using key metrics. The responsibilities also include developing and implementing continuous improvement plans. The NC-CMM Team Lead will use interpersonal communication and leadership skills to maximize contributions made by his/her teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and implement plans for programming efforts associated with new program start-ups.
Monitor performance using key metrics and take action when appropriate.
Manage team work load/capacity to ensure projects are completed on time.
Develop and implement continuous improvement plans.
Experience with NC-CMM programming software and related practices
Knowledge of high efficiency metal machining
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD T)
Knowledge of Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) practices
Excellent communication skills
Strong team leadership skills
Familiarity with lean principles
Ability to multi-task and plan/manage resources
Bachelor's degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
