Manufacturing Technician
ATMI is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to work from 3:00pm to 1:30am Monday through Thursday, with the potential for overtime hours on weekends. The Manufacturing Technicians are responsible for producing and testing our high purity materials packaging products. Employees are responsible for identifying deviation from accepted practice, which ensure quality and consistency for our customers. Employees are encouraged to identify and suggest work process improvements, as appropriate. The role is located in Bloomington, MN and reports to the 2nd Shift Supervisor.
- Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks;
- Conducts rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies;
- Performs preventative maintenance and troubleshoots equipment as needed;
- Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process;
- Works with engineers in conducting experiments;
- Uses drawings, work instructions, specifications, and a variety of precision measuring instruments to perform daily work;
- Maintains 5s in the work area;
- Identifies areas for improvement (i.e. safety, quality, efficiency).
Successful candidates will typically have the following skill set:
- High School degree or GED;
- Experience working in a team environment a plus;
- Manufacturing experience and mechanical aptitude preferred;
- Ability to work overtime when needed;
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.;
