Manufacturing Technician - Gloucester - Maternity Cover until June 2012 - Rate: Competitive
Elan is currently looking for an experienced Manufacturing Technician to join our client's team in Gloucester.
We are looking for a flexible and personable candidate with experience in manufacturing. The right candidate will have a High School Diploma or local equivalent OR 6 months of manufacturing experience (preferable pharmaceutical or medical devices), possess the ability to communicate, receive and understand instructions, have good attention to detail and quality and demonstrate the ability to communicate with co-workers and leadership.
The key responsibilities/essential functions of the role include:
· Reads and follows work procedures and schematics or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed
· Performs manufacturing/assembly operations and various tasks following procedures, bills of materials, work instructions, and process aid sheets
· Operate in cleanroom environment
· Maintains daily production output
· Follows all EHS and Quality policies and procedures
· Works with team lead, supervisors, and managers to improve quality and process efficiency
· Other duties as assigned, and may be asked to be included in training sessions, and employee activity teams
· Comply with EHS regulations and policies
