Responsibilities:

NET is looking for a senior manufacturing test engineer to develop test and debug automation for networking products to be used during the manufacturing process. The test engineer will use systematic tests in order to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for Network Equipment Technologies VoIP products. You will architect, design and develop manufacturing test automation and execute software scripts and tests; analyze and write manufacturing test standards and procedures; maintain documentation of manufacturing test results to assist in debugging of manufacturing related hardware defects and software installation and run issues; analyze test results to ensure existing proper manufacturing of the hardware and proper load and execution of the software functionality and recommend corrective action; and consult with development engineers in resolution of any problems.

Requirements:

The position requires 5-8+ years of hands on testing experience with Ethernet Routers/Switches and/or VoIP Gateways. Strong knowledge in TCP/IP and TDM networking required. The ideal candidate will have hands-on test and in-depth troubleshooting experience with several of the following; Data Routers, Ethernet Networking, VLAN's, IPv4/6, IP Security, QoS, CoS, NAT, Firewalls, IPSec VPN, RTP, SIP, and traditional telecom TDM signaling protocols (i.e. ISDN, CAS, SS7). Experience in a manufacturing test role is strongly preferred. Hands-on experience with test tools and environments including Ethernet sniffers, data traffic and voice bulk call generators, network simulators, traffic utilization and network management tools is essential. The candidate must have a strong back ground in writing scripts (Tcl/Tk, Expect, C/C++, Perl, Linux Shell Programming, NI LabWindows/CVI, Test Stand and MySQL Database), also the candidate must have the confidence to participate and contribute in a fast-paced and technologically diverse development team and possess the ability to communicate with brevity and clarity orally and through written communication to management and co-workers; BSBA degree or equivalent required.
