Title: Marine Diesel Engineer
Department: Mechanical Testing Department
Salary: Excellent Remuneration package (market competitive)
Purpose:
Responsible for supporting Large Engine testing activities on a global basis through engagement with OEM’s; operators and external test suppliers.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provides project management leadership to develop Field Testing capability for Large Engine Test activities
- Develops new and improvements on testing solutions and opportunities where few precedents exist.
- Develops and maintain relationships with OEMs to support Lubrizol product alignment to their needs.
- Represents Lubrizol at external industry meetings and/or with customers and/or with suppliers; may author and present technical papers internally and externally
- Develops technical and financial proposals for developing Large Engine testing capabilities together with the Engineering and Commercial teams
- Provides technical leadership and internal consulting services on current and developing Large Engine technologies and key market drivers.
- Manages specific responsibilities for subordinates within the area of Large Engine Testing.
- Responsibility for compliance with legal and/or other protocols relevant to the role.
- Producing test design, data analysis, and reports
- Minimum BSc or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline of marine or mechanical engineering
- Working towards / has Chartered status or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant professional experience.
- Knowledge of large engine technology
- Project management experience
- Data analysis and reporting skills
