Trading and Industrial Intelligence carries out asset backed trading, fuel management, sales trading and proprietary trading. It delivers first class analysis supporting the trading activities. In addition, it provides overall Fortum industrial intelligence analysis in both operative and strategic horizon for activities such as, Fortum MA, Strategy and Communication.
Your role
We are looking for a Market Analyst to the Trading and Industrial Intelligence unit. The position is located in Espoo, Finland, or in Stockholm, Sweden.
As a Market Analyst, your main task will be to provide power price forecasts for short-term horizon in the Nord Pool area to support both our financial and physical trading. You will also develop our price forecasting process as well as work closely with the whole Operative Power Market Analysis team that is responsible for our Nordic and continental power market forecasts.

Your qualifications
We expect you to have a suitable higher academic degree in engineering, economics or similar discipline. You have prior work experience in power markets and modelling. You have also excellent analytical skills and good communication and presentation skills. Financial market knowledge and good skills in Visual Basic for Applications in MS Excel are to your advantage. Furthermore, you are fluent in written and spoken English, skills in Finnish and Swedish are considered to your advantage. You are available for frequent travel.
