MARKET DATA ADMINISTRATOR recruitment
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing the tasks that validate the integrity and accuracy of the data utilised in the applications used within the front, back and middle office for performance , pricing, accounting and trading purposes.
Core Responsibilities:
- Central point of contact for all Data related questions including all static asset information, income and capital corporate actions and price related queries.
- Liaising with Data vendors regarding quality of data and communication of all updates to the relevant business areas.
- Perform the daily price cleansing process for intraday and close of business.
- This includes the validation of all price exceptions and static prices against Bloomberg/Telekurs within the agreed SLA’s to ensure that the prices held within all internal systems are accurate, reliable and available within required timescales.
- Complete the daily Manual pricing process. This includes the identification of all assets which require manual prices, sourcing and updating the prices and retaining all relevant backup for review by Audit.
- Ensure New Assets are set up on all systems with correct classifications and flagged correctly for pricing and reporting e.g. manual price required, MSCI classification, Credit rating, Large/Small classification, etc.
- Daily Maintenance and review of all asset information held in the Investment Accounting system.
- This includes Income and capital corporate actions, issuer information, credit ratings and daily evening data checks.
- Verification of the data from a third party. i.e. FT, Bloomberg, Custodian.
- Ensure all daily price batches are received from Internal and External sources and batched into Icon within agreed timescales for use in the daily fund valuations.
- Review the daily Asset Corrections report to ensure that the changes to key data attributes which are made automatically by our primary data vendor are correct and verified against a secondary source.
- Daily update of fundamental data attributes such as Index ratios and Option Deltas, ensuring they are completed accurately and timely for use in the valuation process and key compliance derivatives reporting.
Core Skills:
- The ability to work on own initiative is necessary.
- Willingness to immediately respond to user queries and problems.
Core Requirements:
- Further Education Qualification or relevant industry experience.
- Good interpersonal skills in providing support to non-technical staff.
- PC skills including various spreadsheets are essential.
- Experience of other general system applications would be beneficial, particularly with an accounting aspect.
- Understanding the data utilised within the systems and the business impact when delays / error in the data occur.
