Market Data Engineer / Business Analyst recruitment

Working in GTIS - EUS - MDS - this role is a service delivery position servicing our UBS Users in Europe. The Candidate will be joining a team of 8 other analysts who look after specific UBS business areas within the EMEA region but will have cross over responsibilities for various tasks. The global team consists of 28 other Business Analysts and working closely with the other business analysts in the other regions is a core requirement. Day to day work with both the regional team and a virtual global team.

This position is a Market Data Services (MDS) analyst role providing advice and expertise in market data content, delivery, expense and control. Working with the Market Data global business analyst teams to support the building of partnerships with the business manager(s) and end users of an assigned discipline across UBS Corporate Centre, Equities, Investment Banking Dept, FICC, Global AM and Wealth Management. The role will involve co-ordination of business demand for services and distributing work to MDS Business Admin (Based in India) and desktop support for installations. One of the primary goals of the role is to work with the business heads to enhance the value of market data expense by ensuring that business areas and users are getting the most from their products and services, are properly trained to take full advantage of the service, that the services are in use are well rationalized and to provide alternate perspectives and redundancy. Good Workflow, business, product and content knowledge is required.

Requirements

• Investment Bank experience required.
• Must have good understanding of trading room systems - Reuters RMDS, 3000Xtra, Bloomberg, CQG, ex. Thomson products, and more.
• Must have good understanding of the Reuters "Data Access Control System" (DACS).
• A working knowledge of the Corporate Centre support functions, Equities, IBD with some FICC, Wealth Management and Global Asset Management experience. • Must have problem solving skills, be detail oriented and have good written and verbal communication abilities.
• Requirements also include inventory management and working with UBS Corporate Sourcing on vendor deals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products with good experience with Excel (Intermediate Level) including DDE and Macros would be an advantage.
