Market Data Lead Manager
The role of Market Data Lead Managerhas been created to lead a market data 'centre of excellence' within CBA's Group Procurement team. Working with key stakeholders across the Group, the successful candidate will develop the enterprise strategy for Market Data, and manage the finance, administration and operational support for this category of spend. The person in this position will engage with internal business units to understand their requirements; support ongoing contract negotiations; provide advisory support to new and existing users around appropriate market data products services; develop implement cost savings initiatives; and present findings to senior leadership on progress against the strategy.
Other key leadership responsibilities will be to:
- Develop a 3-year rolling category plan and strategy for Market Data across the CBA Group, aligning to business unit requirements globally. This would include key cost saving initiatives, supported by implementation plans and detailed spend profiles with fact-based insights
- Maintain the contract repository, including key terms, tracking reporting actions to keep contracts current, alerts for upcoming renewals, and substitution analysis, explore more cost effective options to deliver equivalent service
- Apply CBA's people management systems to effectively manage such issues as occupational health and safety, recruiting and on boarding new staff, setting KRA's and KPI's, creating development plans, supervising work, providing feedback formally and informally, carrying out disciplinary procedures when necessary, recognising and rewarding staff.
- Performance analysis against category value drivers to identify opportunities, including the development of a reporting framework for end-users, executives, Group Finance and Group Procurement
- Analysis, measurement and reporting of benefits from demand management, sourcing and process management initiatives
The successful applicant will have at least seven years market data expertise across all product ranges, including real time, exchanges, reference, specialist providers, indices, rating/credit agencies and ASX market enquiry. Ideally you will have experience in negotiating market data specific contractual outcomes, the ability to deconstruct and analyse vendor pricing models (based on CBA's requirements and usage), and prior experience managing inventory management systems including contract management, invoice processing, budgets, rulings and reporting. You will have also have experience in supplier relationship management, developing procurement policies and procedures, and will have strong communication presentation skills.
