Market Data Regional APAC Lead- Hands on Project Manager recruitment
Our client, a global Investment Bank currently seeks a Market Data Infrastructure Specialist to provide regional leadership to the Asia Pacific Market Data Infrastructure.
Working within the Market Data Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for carrying out elements of live support and project work that which contributes to the ongoing successful delivery of Asia Pacific Market Data infrastructure. In addition, you will be involved in the management of system upgrades, performance analysis and expert advice.
- Design, deploy and support market data quoting and trading infrastructure for all Asia Pacific sites
- Provide project planning for relocation, systems installations and disaster recovery
- Ensure documentation on all systems in use for production and disaster recovery and regulatory purposes
- Ensure production problems, bugs, system problems/changes are documented and requests are acted upon promptly
- Keep Senior Management advised of situations that may compromise agreed deliverables and/or affect production systems
- Responsible for the dissemination of daily outages related to market-data; Assess outages to distribute notification to the correct audience
- Provides technical guidance and training to staff members regarding Reuters, Thomson Financial, Bloomberg and all other market-data applications
- Participate in the evaluation of test results ensuring that system changes accurately meet business requirements and process service criteria, fit into the technical environment and that existing operations are not adversely impacted
To be considered, the successful Market Data Infrastructure Specialist should have the following skills and experience:
- Hands on knowledge of Reuters RMDS, Wombat, Tibco RV, Bloomberg, Thomson One and other major market data systems
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux, Windows, Networking
- Knowledge of Tibco EMS, MQ Series and other messaging protocols is desirable
- Worked with Intel, Sparc, Opteron hardware to support Windows and Linux operating systems
- Mastery of shell scripting in bourne shell and perl.
