Market Database Manager
Market Database Campaign Manager needed by major specialty publisher to generate marketing lists and data mining reports to drive business revenue. Will also enhance market database including new source feeds and improve data quality. An understanding of relational databases and campaign management applications such as Unica is a critical requirement for this role.

Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day operations [tracking processing customer requests].
• Utilize campaign management system to run queries, develop segmentation and execute list pulls supporting business divisions' customer acquisition, retention loyalty and cross-sell initiatives.
• Collaborate with business divisions to recommend audience selections for marketing campaigns to best achieve revenue goals and recommend strategies to optimize program results.
• Translate business requirements into data requirements with a deep understanding of marketing objectives and available data attributes.
• Use business intelligence tools to provide analytic customer insights and create demographic dashboards.
• Work with IT and database vendor partner to enhance and maintain market database, including providing thought leadership on database improvement, architecture and additional data/feeds to drive business goals.
• Maximize the effectiveness, value and quality of the market database.
• Keep abreast with trends and latest development in database marketing environment and recommend best practices including appropriate software and process management.
• Measure campaign effectiveness and make recommendations for improving response rates and ROI.

Experience/Skills Requirements:
• 4+ years of database and direct marketing experience required, within B-to-B or publishing/circulation preferred.
• Expertise in campaign management software, knowledge of Cognos or UNICA a plus.
• Knowledge of data model and database management including design and architecture.
• Experience working with Marketing, IT and database vendor partners a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Access Excel
• Key understanding of database marketing best practices.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage staff.
• Strong critical thinking skills, including the ability to understand marketing business plans and objectives to identify new opportunities and recommend process improvements.
• Excellent communication interpersonal skills with a strong customer orientation.
• Must be able to multi-task with attention to detail.
• Strong QA skills
• Team player who can work with general direction and minimum supervision and follow through on timely delivery of requests and projects.

Salary: Up to $70k
