Title: Market Making Options Java Developer, VP
My client is looking for a highly talented and motivated Senior Java developer to join their team in Hong Kong. After a successful 2011, the Automated Market Making team is expanding and as a result, they are looking for an elite Java Market Making Developer. The team is responsible for providing continuous electronic markets for listed options on numerous exchanges; trading tens of thousands of individual options using a small team of experienced software developers, traders, quants, and system administrators, led by one of the experts in the industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the full life cycle: researching, designing, implementing, and supporting software in a highly-distributed, low-latency, real-time trading environment. In addition, further responsibilities will include maintenance and upgrades of previously developed software infrastructure.
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in full SDLC focused on high-performance, low latency, real -time trading systems using Java is mandatory.
- Experience in equity options market making is highly desirable.
- An MSc in a quantitative or computer science discipline such as Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics from a globally elite institution is preferable.
- Strong quantitative and leadership skills, with the willingness and ability to work in partnership with Ph.D level quantitative traders, managing development projects.
