Market Manager, Foodservice Sales
The Market Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategic plan to maximize the potential of their assigned market areas. This individual is responsible for implementing strategies and tactics that will increase sales, improve profitability, and build sustainable growth for the organization. Will be responsible for significant contribution to delivering and or exceeding the company’s sales and profit goals.
- Develop, maintain and service strong relationships and partnerships across multiple functional areas with key distributors, operators, and regional chain accounts.
- Create and conduct effective sales presentations. Increase sales and grow market share by conducting sales meetings with distributor sales representatives to promote, educate and train them on Solo’s product lines, policies and to gain insights into the disposable category.
- Utilize market data, consumer insights, and competitive intelligence to identify high growth opportunities for Solo Cup.
- Act as a liaison between Solo Cup and distributor maintaining solid working relationships focused on exceeding our customers’ needs and expectations. Build marketing programs to mutually grow the business.
- Make sales calls on end user accounts in an effort to ensure superior customer service and further promote our product lines.
- Work with distributors to provide complete, thorough and timely responses to their requests in order to more rapidly serve our customers.
- Prepare and analyze reports for sales management regarding distributor and direct buying customers in the assigned region and analysis of the variance of sales results versus prior year. Maintain PL for larger end-users and ensure profitability for the organization.
- Stay abreast of changes in the market place to ensure Solo is competitive versus our key competition.
- Set up requests for competitive pricing, public bids and special price quotes.
- Recommend competitive pricing structure and understands where the market exists.
- Demonstrate master knowledge of product line, policies, systems and competitive environment.
- Apply financial acumen to create innovative solutions for Solo and the customer.
- Work collaboratively with other market managers in the same assigned market areas.

Job Requirements:
- BS/BA degree in Business or related field.
- Three – five years experience in sales, preferably in the foodservice industry, with a proven track record for driving results.
- Proficient user in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Must be self-motivated with excellent planning and organization skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively in region.
