Market Manager for Traction Motor Service Job in Västerås, Västmanland Sweden
You will be part of Machines in Västerås. The unit, which is part of the business area Motors Generators, develops, manufactures and sells synchronous and asynchronous AC Machines, for motor and generator applications. The unit also has global responsibility for traction motors within ABB. We develop, manufacture and sell traction motors for subways, trams, locomotives and regional trains.

At Machines’ Traction Motor Service, you will manage our established business and further grow our market shares. Your main task will be to develop and implement the strategy for our traction motor service worldwide. This entails to proactively identify service requirements and to convert them into a comprehensive product and service offer. Sourcing new market opportunities is an important part of this role and so is service product development. Besides collaborating with customers, you will visit and support our local service sales forces and ensure that strategies and corresponding plans are properly implemented, measurable and transparent. You will also support market and business development teams as well as marketing and sales initiatives within ABB. Requirements:You have a technical university degree and experience from sales and business development. Knowledge of the railway industry, traction motors and/or rotating machines is qualifying. Proficiency in English is required, whereas knowledge of Swedish and German is advantageous. As a representative for ABB, you must communicate well on different business levels and adapt to other cultures while building strong relations with new and existing customers. Further, you are used to leading negotiations, work customer-oriented and with high commitment.
