MARKET MANAGER (SUPPORTING SARNIA SURROUNDING AREA)
SUMMARY:
This role is pivotal to the success including growing sales and profits in individual business units. You will oversee the efficient and profitable operation of approximately 12 stores. You will act as a liaison between our stores and Support Office working in partnership with our QSR Branded Managers, Corporate Store Managers and our Business Partners to oversee the effective execution of company directed programs, promotions and marketing initiatives. The importance of this role is highlighted by our extensive training program, which prepares our Market Managers for what they face in the field.
- Oversee the effective execution of company directed programs, promotions and marketing initiatives.
- Actively participate in recruitment of store operators and monitor training as required.
- Monitor and confirm banking and other financial information at the store level.
- Deliver and maintain high levels of customer service, resolve escalated customer issues.
- Minimize loss prevention in all stores in market through enforcement and training.
- Ensure operational compliance with Subway and MM guidelines.
- Store operations, housekeeping, stock levels, and enforce corporate policies and directives.
- Monitor sales, competitive pricing, promotional programs.
- Execution of all security, mystery shop, health and safety programs.
- Ensure company standards are maintained at each site and that government legislation such as Health and Safety and WSIB are followed.
- Contract execution.
- PL, CTO responsibilities, top line sales achievement.
- Remit accountability for corporate staff.
- Respond to situations arising via blackberry.
- Communicate all required information and reporting to proper channels.
- Inventory control, levels, turns and theft investigation.
- Contact and control outside services.
- Follow merchandising programs, store sets, and participating in store renovations.
- Conduct market meetings, pass along directives, enhance training and share information among store operators.
- Manage costs and direct performance at Subway and MM locations.
- Any special projects as directed.
Job Requirements:
- Post Secondary Certificate in Business Admin or college degree in Retail Management or scholastic / work experience equivalency
- Flexible hours and must be mobile
- Basic understanding of computer use in a work setting such as e-mail and MS-Office
- Proven track record of success in a retail or food services environment, and a thorough understanding of the industry.
- Strong communication, organization and people skills.
- Strong leadership qualities
