Market Manager

The Market Manager is responsible for developing and driving a profitable retail business within a designated market to achieve gross profit and company profitability targets.  This will be accomplished by executing the Small Medium Business (SMB) strategy, which focuses on high margin retail accounts, market verticals as dictated by market demographics, centralized support resources, operational efficiency, and speed to filling orders.
 
Skills and Abilities
• Strong sales/marketing skills needed to meet business development goals
• Proven track record for successful staff and business development
• Strong PC skills and the ability to navigate within the Manpower systems is critical
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong customer service skills
• Ability to advise, counsel, guide, and negotiate with others
• Ability to develop (i.e., through teaching, training, etc.) the professional skills of employees
• Ability to analyze and evaluate people and data to determine courses of action
• Ability to effectively and tactfully deal with people
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to understand and accurately use financial analysis skills
• Ability to produce results within an unstructured environment and have the flexibility to identify and respond to changes in priorities

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field preferred

10+ years of direct field sales experience

Minimum of 5 years sales management experience

5 years experience in the staffing industry preferred

Past experience overseeing permanent placement operations
