Market Montoring Senior Analyst recruitment
Leading Energy Trading business is now seeking an expereince Market Monitoring Analyst to join their Compliance team. You will have responsibility for developing a best practice compliance monitoring framework which is risk based and comprehensive, developing and implementing an annual compliance monitoring workplan. This will also include undertaking regular monitoring, product and themed reviews of; market abuse, anti-bribery, anti-money laundering, RAO, FSA and Exchange obligations. Undertaking compliance investigations and other compliance projects, providing expert advice and technical assistance as may be required. You will also ensure compliance monitoring workplans are in place for subsidiarieso and maintain awareness of financial regulatory developments, providing advice and guidance and acting as a compelling advocate for compliance.
You should be an experienced compliance monitoring professional with demonstrable financial services expertise. You should have experience of building a compliance monitoring function, assessing compliance risk, developing monitoring routines and implementing compliance processes. In addition you should have xperience of auditing trading activities and support functions within a wholesale trading environment, preferably with energy trading experience. You will need an in depth understanding of financial services regulation including; the FSA Handbook, FSMA RAO, Anti Bribery Act, AML legislation and REMIT. An understanding of European regulatory developments i.e. MiFID, MAD and EMIR. Knowledge of OTC and exchange trading. You should ideally have some experience of conflict management, gifts and hospitality and competition law.
You should have the following skills and experience
Experience of operating in an international environment desirable and knowledge of corresponding overseas financial services legislation an advantage.

Project management skills with proven track record of delivery.
Able to work autonomously.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (spoken and written).
Excellent time management skills able to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
