Market Research and Analytics (MR&A) Manager recruitment

We are seeking a marketing analytics professional to liaise with senior managers to identify business needs and translate these into specific actions, initiatives and projects, which could relate to:
* short requests for information
* longer project based requests which need detailed analysis
* primary market research
* desk based analytics - internal and external information sources

Reporting to the Head of Distribution for Arabia and based in Dubai, key responsibilities of the role will include:

* Demonstrating how the effective use of MRA can assist the business, grow awareness and demand for services.
* Liaising with profit centres and business managers to promote best practice and influence support for research spending
* Managing both consumer and commercial market research projects, qualitative and quantitative research, internal (staff) and external (customer) projects; both strategic and tactical and among businesses and consumers; B2B and consumer research.
* Working with third party agencies/other MRA groups to ensure projects are completed to specific deadlines and expectations.
* Maintaining awareness of current research techniques, such as on-line surveys, statistical sampling, questionnaire design, focus group moderation and face to face interviewing.
* Carrying out research for background information for papers and requests, using online database services and the internet. (Training would be given in more specialist tools and assistance from other parts of MRA for specialist and in depth research).
* Carrying out market monitoring and competitor analysis as required.
* Summarising information from various sources into report, presentation or other formats; evaluating information, forming opinions and presenting the information in a clear format appropriate to each audience.
* Maintaining expertise and knowledge around CRM systems (eStart, SMART, Salesforce) and the underlying data in order to field requests relating to Chartis corporate commercial relationships, and how relationships can be leveraged to provide new business opportunities.
* Carrying out portfolio analysis to support distribution and profit centre initiatives in order to grow profitable business and retain existing business.

The successful candidate for this position will possess a tertiary qualification in marketing and will come from a market research background, with a focus on analytics.

Some knowledge of desk research tools (eg. Factiva) would be viewed favourably.

Excellent communication (Arabic language skills an advantage) and research skills, an enquiring mind and analytical approach, and the ability to multi-task will be essential for success in this role.

Experience within the financial services/insurance industries would be a definite advantage.
