Job Purpose/Background:
We are seeking a consulting professional to join the BlackRock Global Client Insights team. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join an evolving team that plays a significant role in the business strategy of the leading asset manager and an organization that values high quality and high impact customer insights.
You will focus on influencing the continued growth of BlackRock's business. As a member of the greater Global Client Insights team, you will have access and be expected to leverage Marketing Analytics to provide a holistic perspective on how attitudes lead to behaviors for both BlackRock and our key competitors.
Your success will be measured by the impact on revenue through:
- Building relationships and influencing the recommendation of key stakeholders across our US Businesses such as Marketing Leads, Channel Strategists, Sales Managers etc.
- Championing findings and holding managers accountable for agreed upon actions from the research.
- Living the values of the BlackRock organization and Measurement Research team such as going beyond the numbers, team collaboration and challenging conventional wisdom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partnering with key stakeholders to identify and align on key business priorities.
- Getting buy-in and customizing the communications of the research findings to have the broadest impact on the business.
- Identifying and working with the most qualified research partners to employ the optimal research approach to meet the business requirements.
- Ownership of the internal and external management of the market research process.
- On-going internal communication about the status and expectation of the research initiative.
- Integrating with key teams internal to Research Analytics team as well as externally to build 360 degree assessment of all findings pre and post.
- Leveraging primary and secondary research to drive deeper customer understanding and revenue impact.
- Synthesis of insights and broad communications of key findings through brown bags, newsletters and social media.
Knowledge/Experience:
- Ideally a minimum of 5 years of consulting or marketing research experience, financial products or services related experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability in forming trusted advisor relationships with internal partners or external clients.
- A proven track record of triangulating disparate data and turning them into business recommendations and actions.
- Team player with experience interacting with different functional areas and personality styles.
- People management experience.
- Ability to understand business issues and translate them into metrics and research design
- Prefer working knowledge of advanced statistical methods such as regression, factor analysis, and CHAID analysis
- BA/BS in statistics, economics, or market research preferred; MBA or Master's degree is desired
