Market Risk Analyst- Data Support

The Analyst Data Support role is a tactical role that will help lead the identification, assessment, documentation, and remediation of quality issues as part of production processes. This may involve interacting with business users or risk managers to resolve data quality problems using techniques such as root cause analysis.

Additional Responsibilities may include:

*Daily monitoring of feeds / data. Perform data quality diagnostics, investigate possible data errors and remediate poor data for accurate daily VAR calculation

*Research new data requirements and closely work with Risk Managers and technology to identify feeds issues.

*Be able to work with technology on strategic sourcing projects and participate in User Acceptance Testing and impact analyses.

*Identify opportunities and suggest solutions to improve data quality and business processes.

*Remediation of Asia specific data quality issues

Experience

*Degree or Professional Qualification in a numerate a subject (i.e. finance, mathematics)

*Prior experience in either Global Markets operations, Market Risk, Risk reporting or Data validation

*Broad knowledge in financial products

* Equities/derivatives product knowledge is a plus

*Ability to communicate effectively with the team and various teams within the bank to get results

A team player who is ambitious and focused

*Self-motivated, takes ownership of responsibilities assigned to him/her

*Must have Advanced Excel/VBA skills and preferably SQL skills to build and maintain tools that will help in carrying out the responsibilities in this role

*Proven ability to deliver high quality work in a relatively unsupervised environment, while working under pressure

*Willing to question existing processes in a tactful manner
