Market Risk – AVP Project Manager recruitment
Requirements:
• Bring strong planning and process skills to the team and have management accountability for the definition and execution of the project plans including project initiation, planning, execution, controlling and closing out the project
• Manage project dependencies and team and stake holder relationships as it relates to the project and ensure timely and effective communication with the project team and with the project stakeholders
• Adhere to and promote appropriate software development and project management lifecycle (SDLC and PMLC) methodologies within Market Risk
• Deliver and manage Market Risk initiated projects within scope and highest quality
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
• Possess at least 5 years project management experience in the financial services industry
• Prior experience with SDLC and PMLC methodologies
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation and mediation skills
• Strong organization skills; capable of operating independently with minimal direction
• Strong people management skills as the position requires managing project teams and activities
• Participate and lead the project design, coordinate project user acceptance testing and deployment.
• Extensive computer skills in all MS Office applications, including MS Project, PowerPoint and MS Excel
• Well-developed organization / time management skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and escalate issues appropriately and timely basis
• Market Risk domain knowledge is essential
• Knowledge of Murex is an added advantage
• Possess certified Project Management qualification (e.g. PMP) is preferred.
• A graduate degree in finance is preferred
