Market Risk Business Analyst – Tier one Bank

A highly respected tier one Bank, a pacesetter in the industry offering the size, dynamism and ambition which can provide career-defining opportunities and challenges in the current climate. 

This pivotal position which sits within their Market Risk Reporting project team are tasked with analysing business user needs, collating requirements and producing high level documentation to enable the technical teams to help build systems and solutions to match the business requirements. 

The role will have accountability for selecting the most appropriate means of representing business requirements in the context of a specific change initiative. This will involve driving the requirements elicitation process where necessary; identifying what stakeholder input is required and facilitating business priority setting for the complex changes. 

You will be required to interact with the business to review and improve reporting and control processes, analyse and understand exciting applications to perform gap analyses, develop detailed and functional requirements and gain business/change buy-in. Other responsibilities will include testing (Designing and managing), supporting developers and senior level stakeholder management. 

In order to deliver these accountabilities you must have experience of delivery an enterprise global reporting system, with previous business analyst experience with the ability to work independently and as a team. Strong market risk and banking knowledge with awareness of the market risk regulatory environment. Detailed knowledge of market data and market risk measurements including complex OTC derivatives with in-depth knowledge of sensitivities and VaR methodologies.
