Department criteria:
The Market Risk Technology team provides services to support the business functions of the Market Risk Group. Working in Market Risk Technology gives a great opportunity, not only to develop innovative and challenging software solutions, but also to get an excellent understanding of all businesses and products at Nomura.
Successful candidates will report to the Technology Department, but will work very closely with other local and global Risk Analysts, as well as other front- and middle-office staff. Therefore, good communication skills, as well as an interest in the Risk Management and trading activities of the firm, are required for this position.
Role description:
• Gathering user requirements.
• Designing solutions for user requirements that fit into, and enhance, global market risk IT platforms.
• Perform system testing, and assist risk managers with user acceptance testing.
• Implementation and adherence to quality assurance principles and processes
Key objectives critical to success:
• Previous investment bank experience a strong advantage.
• A good understanding of complex Fixed Income and Equities Derivative products.
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
Market Risk experience
