Market Risk IT Project Manager – Contract – High Rates recruitment
My client, a global investment bank in London requires a Market Risk IT Project Manager on a rolling 6-month contract basis, to start immediately. This role faces off with various front office teams, Market Risk, Group Market Risk, Finance and the various IT development teams
The team consists of seven individuals, 2x Programme Manager, 3x Project Managers and 2x Senior BA's. You will come on board reporting to one of the Programme Managers and will have your own project responsibilities to manage.
The Market Risk Project Manager will be responsible for the delivery of a number of strategic projects to improve the underlying business processing architecture with the support of the existing Market Risk IT team. The role will have a significant part to play in moving the organisation towards the target state operating model and will involve regular engagements with senior stakeholders within the business.
Essential:
• A strong delivery record in Market Risk
• Investment banking background
• Proven project management background
• Demonstrable experience of managing teams across locations and regions
• Strong stakeholder management focus and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation
• Building teams (including virtual teams)
• Ability to work autonomously and identify areas of improvement with little or no direct management
• Ability to liaise with business teams (market risk managers, quants) and IT development teams
• Ability to chair meetings and prepare documentation
