Due to our business expansion, we are seeking high calibre and dedicated professionals to join us in a dynamic and challenging environment asMarket Risk Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working closely with traders and trading management in defining, risking and communicating trading strategies, exposure and market risk associated with the trading portfolio. Communicate clearly and concisely with traders, trading managers, and other senior managers of trading portfolio composition, key market risk factors, major exposure/risks and areas of improvement.
- Working closely with Front Office, Middle Office, Analytics groups and other business partners to ensure the completeness and accuracy of risk measurement.. Constant ongoing monitoring and analysis of risks, including greeks, interest rate, spread, prepayment and default risks.
- Establishing and updating Market Risk Trading Mandates and limits, and effectively executing and diligently documenting risk management and control procedures.
- Analyze and explain daily VaR results, classify backtesting exceptions and monthly stress testing results including drivers of risk and reason for changes in VaR
- Assist in stress testing scenario design and update
- Check and help ensure integrity and quality of risk metrics
- Provide assistance, direction and support to other risk teams where required
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and help drive initiatives to improve, streamline and implement new risk metrics
- Participate in user testing for major system upgrades
- Assist in any ad-hoc regulatory reporting requirements and audit related matters
- Support / facilitate board and senior management to fulfill their governance and oversight roles and responsibilities set out/ expected by regulators
QUALIFICATIONS AND / OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Recognized Degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar role with MNCs in the oil gas industries preferred
- Proficient with Risk Management techniques such as VaR, sensitivity analysis, and stress testing is essential.
- In depth knowledge of treasury activities and products,standard pricing models, classify backtesting and interest rate derivatives.
- Strong research and analytical ability and has good attention to detail.
- Highly motivated, organized, reliable team player and able to communicate to all levels and work within cross functional teams effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft applicationshands-on experience in SAP is advantageous
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin
