Market Risk Manager recruitment
Main purpose of the Job:
To support the Director with the provision of accurate and timely management information regarding the state and risks of the current (and potential future) portfolio such that it informs strategic and tactical decision making.
Responsibilities:
- To assist and support the Manager
- To ensure accurate and timely provision of Management Reporting via:
- Validation of trades and forecast customer delivery patterns
- Monitoring of trade booking/validation process
- Liaison with customer base (senior management, sales, operations and finance staff)
- Resolving and/or escalating issues and anomalies
- Gathering business requirements and perform acceptance testing for systems developments
- Validation of marketing pricing information
- Preparation and validation of management reporting compromising
- Commodity and capacity physical position reports
- Financial exposure reports
- MtM valuation
- Cashflow
- Credit exposure
- Portfolio stress and scenario reports
- Provision of portfolio forecasts and assets for business planning purposes
- Ad-hoc analysis and reporting regarding transaction valuation
Qualifications:
- Ideally a 2:1 degree of higher in a numerate subject
- Experience in commodity/energy markets desirable
- Experience in a reporting/product control role desirable

- Knowledge and experience of derivative valuation and risk qualification techniques
