Our client is a global financial institution offering retail banking, direct banking, commercial banking, investment banking, asset management, and insurance services.
The Role
As a Market Risk / Product Control VP / Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring and analysing company's PL and market risk exposure on a day-to-day basis for various financial products. It involves PL reporting and the monitoring of trading exposures against the bank's limits.
Main duties would include ensuring timely delivery of accurate daily PL and Risk report, performing PL and Risk attribution analysis independently, ensuring PL and Risk report are signed off by Front Office and ensuring front Office to GL reconciliation is performed (Balance Sheet position and PL).
You will also be responsible for follow-up of Off-Market trades, ensuring excesses are rectified / explained, keep track of market developments / changes and its impact on trading strategy and assisting Senior and Desk Head in gathering of information required for PL / risk analysis, one-off approvals, new product proposals and limit requests.
In addition, you will also be responsible for preparation of Parameter Committee meeting document, reconciliation of assigned General Ledger accounts and Management PL, ensuring timely submission of month end journals to Finance and verification and explanation of VaR backtesting result.
Other special duties would include perform reserves calculations and price testing, verification of Transfer Pricing figures, assisting in system implementations and projects related to MRMPC and assisting with book opening / closing and proper maintenance of book structure.
Your Profile
Suitable candidates need to be a Degree Holder with at least 3 years experience in a similar capacity. You need to have good knowledge of financial products, accounting, excel VBA and ability to work independently.
